Every road project runs the same three spreadsheets, and none of them agree with each other.

Shift totals live on paper or in the operator's head until someone types them up.

The site knows metres

Which chainage got which layer is tracked separately, by hand, and rarely matches the plant.

Cost per tonne shows up weeks later, when nothing can be done about it any more.

The operator adds a truck and, if the plant stops, taps the reason. That is the entire job. Rate against nominal capacity, stop losses and shift totals are computed as they go — and the same shift stays correct on a phone and a tablet at once.

Progress measured in chainage, not in guesses.

Import the surveyor's coordinates once. From then on every shift is placed between two kilometre marks, on a lane, in a layer — with viaduct decks counted on their own. What is left, and the material it needs, follows from the same numbers.

04 / the day

The day is closed before it is over.

The work calendar says which day was worked and which was lost. The field strip says whether the plant is running right now. Stock movements, the last production entries and a dated progress note sit on the same screen.

Check this against the weighbridge before you act on it.

It reads the same numbers you do, and says so when it is inferring. It advises; it does not decide.

Stock comes off the recipe. Cost lands the same day.

Every tonne produced draws its bitumen, aggregate and filler straight from the mix design, so the run-out warning arrives days early instead of on delivery day. Cost is carried in as many currencies as the project actually uses — and beside it sit the machines on site, the tonnes per person-day and the progress payment, broken down per pay item.

Trucks entered with no connection queue on the device and reconcile the moment the bar returns. The report travels the other way: shift summaries, stock threshold alarms and the day-end report land in the contractor's own group chat — in the language that group speaks.
