What the plant log cannot say: which cabinet an I/O address belongs to, what a group code controls, what a recurring fault turned out to be. Written once, used in every AI diagnosis.

How much the system has learned from this plant.

Plant bins → materials

The plant weighs every batch and reports kg per tonne for each bin. Link each bin to the material it holds and production is deducted from stock automatically. Until every bin is linked, nothing is deducted — a partial deduction would silently understate the loss.

Cold feeders → materials

Feeder number → material. Plant warnings name feeders by number (e.g. COLDFEED 4).

Recipe tolerances

Per asphalt type, because the limits are not the same for every mix. Component tolerance is in percentage points of the mix: a batch counts as compliant only when every component is inside. The temperature band is the specification range — leave it empty and the temperature axis is not scored at all, rather than judged against an invented threshold.

Work Parameters

Truck capacity (t) Tonnes one truck carries. Tonnage ÷ this gives the number of trips behind the fuel estimate.

Total project asphalt (t) Contract tonnage. Machines set to unit-of-production depreciation divide their value by this to get a fixed cost per tonne — so a month with little or no production never produces an absurd cost/t.

Plant chainage (km) Where the plant stands on the route. Haul distance is measured from here to the chainage being paved.

Haul distance extra (%) Added on top of the straight round trip (plant → chainage → plant) to cover gradient, manoeuvring and camp runs.

Average truck speed (km/h) Loaded/empty average. Blank: trucks needed is not calculated.

Weighing and manoeuvring (min) Weighbridge + manoeuvre + tipping. Loading/discharge come from plant rate.

Fleet efficiency (%) Realistic cycle = ideal cycle ÷ fleet efficiency.

Reconciliation tolerance (±%) The Financial page sets the tonnage operators logged against the weighbridge tonnage. A gap inside this band shows green, beyond it red. Some difference is normal — set the band to what your site accepts.

Stop threshold (min) Only used on days with no operator session, where plant hours come from weighbridge ticket times: a gap between two trucks longer than this counts as a plant stop instead of working time.
